At the close of the 2009 season, members of the Ann Arbor Pipes and Drums and the Red Thistle Pipes and Drums agreed to terms to join forces and form the Detroit Caledonian Pipe Band.
With a fresh vision and approach, the combined members of the two bands combined into one singular, stronger unit for the 2010 competition season.
